Basque Country Cities Story
I. On the Dawn of Time
Once the ice ages receded and the 1st human teams roamed the humid valleys on the Cantabrian Sea, the lands we now connect with Euskal Herria were being now a refuge. In the caves of Santimamiñe, Ekain, Isturitz, and Aitzbitarte, nameless arms remaining bison, horses, and symbols that also appear to resonate these days.

III. Involving Empires: The Early Middle Ages
Once the slide of Rome, these lands lay in between two worlds: the Frankish as well as Visigothic.
Through this time, a name emerged that may resonate for centuries: Vasconia.
• In Navarre, the Vascones organized by themselves about Pamplona.
• During the Northern Basque Region (Iparralde), the Duchy of Vasconia stretched from the Garonne River on the Pyrenees.

IV. The Kingdom of Pamplona / Kingdom of Navarre
